tenderness

is it too much to ask

to be treated kindly?

gently, with the attention

of a curious child

unpreoccupied

is it too little

to be present with

all i observe

all i can offer

is my world to yours

a response that meets

moment to moment

can't be discontinued

but changes shape

as sand passes through the hour glass.
